Volunteer Work Day – Oct 4th – 9AM until 2pm or completion. 

Lunch provided by the Social Committee of assorted sandwiches from Sister Chicks, a new sandwich shop in Havana.  Lunch will be served at the pavilion at noon, during lunch we will be discussing if we need to make modifications to the pavilion to support the increasing number of people attending our potluck socials.  Please register on our sign-in sheet of all volunteers.

 1. Pressure wash 2 fishing docks and picnic tables at pavilion. Please bring your own pressure washer and hoses.

2. Clean street signs and check ditches for litter.

3. Repair handrail post at pavilion.

4. Finish repairs to dock at boat ramp.

5. Clean boat ramp with stiff brush or pressure washer.

6. Build small tables for each bathroom.

7. Clear underbrush around pavilion fishing dock to open view of lake and for breeze from lake.  Marc has the tools for this, he needs help in loading dumpster with the trimmings.  Also, some clearing around trees in the pine woods in pavilion area, to avoid having to remove undesirable growth later.  Bring necessary tools for this.  

8.  Spread sand in marshy area at pavilion fishing dock.  Need shovels or bar rakes.

9. Pull vines from Azaleas at main gate and around pavilion.  You’ll need heavy gloves for this.  DON’T WE LOVE VINES.  

Every year this is such a successful event and so much is always accomplished.
